Interior Health
The Okanagan region of British Columbia has experienced over $800 million in hospital construction since 2007. Good news for all, right? Not necessarily so. With significant expansion comes significant change. And not everyone considers change a good thing. We helped Interior Health develop a comprehensive communications program to address low awareness of the project goals and benefits, build stakeholder support for the project, and manage issues that come with the massive upheaval to neighbouring residents’ lives. In addition to moving the needle on the health authority’s goals, we received the Award of Excellence in Communications Management from the Canadian Public Relations Society for this program.
